Governance

In order to achieve its mission, the Inter-Sorority Councilrelies on a collaborative system of four bodies (the Executive Board, Presidents' Council, the Representative Body, and the Judiciary Committee), ensuring cooperative endeavors that truly benefit and represent the entire ISC community.

Executive Board

The Executive Board is comprised of fifteen members. The five elected positions include President, VP of Administration, VP of Judiciary, VP of Recruitment, and VP of Finance. The appointed chair positions focus their efforts on different aspects of the ISC community - Alumnae/Faculty Relations, Community Service, Women's Concerns, Recruitment Support, Public Relations, and Interactions with the University and Greek communities.

Presidents’ Council

Presidents' Council allows the Presidents of all 16 chapters to convene weekly, in order to exchange ideas, promote discussion on shared chapter concerns, and provide support for each other's chapter events.

Representative Body

Each sorority chapter elects one woman to sit on the Representative Body, which meets weekly. All ISC Representatives are trained to serve as judges for ISCJC trials. In addition, the Representative Body possesses an important legislative responsibility, for only this body can vote on changes to the ISC Bylaws.

Judiciary Committee

Recognizing the fact that the ISC community retains unique ideals and obligations, the Judiciary Committee is in place to handle all conflicts that pertain specifically to the ISC Bylaws and sorority life. While the Representatives serve as judges on trials, there is also an investigator pool of Greek women for cases.
